In theory you could make a full set of Dragonfire proof armor from Fire Imp Bones and Leather, but I have doubts it would work - Dragonfire enveloping a dwarf probably hits every possible gap/spot in armor, and it would be nearly useless for anything else. The same is true of Dragon Bones (but NOT Dragon Leather). Their heat resistance is less than 50000 urist, but it has some magical tag that just ensures it will not vaporize from dragonfire. If they step in those their goose is cooked.Īlso note, Fire Imp Leather and Bone, obtained by butchering Fire Imps, is supposedly Dragonfire Proof. There are even reports that Dragonfire can now deconstruct bridges while they are lowered/extended (raised/retracted bridges still count as walls so should be fine),Ī couple of notes though - Dragonfire, for unknown reasons, flows around shields without burning or coming into contact with them, so military dwarves armed with shields will reliably block dragonfire without any damage to the shield. Wood depending on your location might not be so common and it might run out, but stones are everywhere. if you care about aesthetics build walls in one type of stone. You are not getting it back unless you drop water on it immediately. use 'nearest stone' option so dwarves don't waste time hauling items. So if anything becomes ignited by Dragonfire, it's gone. Because furniture impacts the quality level of the dining/bedroom it is in, having your mason churn out higher. Thus most early non-bed furniture and decorations are made out of stone. Not only can they make most of the required early furniture (besides beds) they can do so with abundant materials. The ONLY materials in the game that will not eventually melt when exposed to Dragonfire are Adamantine, Slade, and Divine Metal. The mason is a keystone to any young fort. For comparison, Magma is only 10000 urist. ![]() ![]() If the stockpile is set incorrectly, blocks: stone isnt set on the stock pile, wont. If burrows are set incorrectly, dwarves are assigned to one that doesnt encompass both the stock pile and the workshop, it wont happen. If there is too much else being moved around, wont happen. There is no Stone that can Withstand Dragonfire.ĭragonfire burns at up to 50000 urist. That should make them put stone blocks in bins in that stockpile.
